Golden Circle Afternoon

Enjoy one of our most popular tours in the afternoon!

We will visit three of Iceland’s most beautiful natural landmarks.

Þingvellir National Park (English: Thingvellir), where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was established in the year 930 AD. In 2004 Thingvellir National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List and is now one of eight hundred places in the world that have been honoured by UNESCO. Þingvellir is not only worth a visit due to its historical importance but also its stunning surroundings.

Gullfoss waterfall, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. Gullfoss literally means “Golden Waterfall” and is by many considered the most beautiful waterfall in Iceland.

Finally the spouting hot spring area around Geysir and Strokkur. Although good old Geysir rarely preforms, his fellow geyser Strokkur erupts every 6-10 minutes, usually to his onlooker’s excited applause.

Although this trip is an express tour, you will be visiting some of the very best known historical sites and natural phenomena in the country.
