Walk through Fire & Ice

This combination tour gives the opportunity to discover two main natural highlights of Iceland: surprising hot springs of Reykjadalur and a scenic glacier walk on the Sólheimajökull glacier.

A tour that combines two of Iceland´s natural highlights, hot springs and glaciers! This day tour starts at geothermal area of Hengill, located at the foot of an old volcanic cone. There, you will take an easy hike past a series of beautiful hot springs to Reykjadalur valley where you can enjoy a nature bath in a beautiful warm river! Next we head towards two waterfalls along the South Coast: Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, taking you right past the Eyjafjallajökull volcano. Then, on to the magnificent Sólheimajökull glacier, where a short and easy glacier walk between ices sculptures, ridges and deep crevasses will complete your day. A tour that offers both incredible nature and picturesque scenery!

Depending on accessibility to Reykjadalur over the coldest winter months, a visit to the hot springs of Grændalur Valley is equally beautiful, but without the bath. Bring warm clothing, rain gear, hiking shoes, bathing suit and towel. Lunch can be bought on the tour.
