Lava Cave & Geothermal Adventure

Visit Iceland’s largest natural lava cave, located in West Iceland. Just shy of 1600 meters / 5250ft, the cave features amazing colours and lava formations that lurk in the depths of the earth

On our way from Reykjavík we’ll drive through Borgarfjörður fjord towards Húsafell. On the way we will stop at Deildartunguhver hot spring and Hraunfossar lava waterfalls.

After a break in Húsafell we head to the colorful and beautiful lava cave named Víðgelmir. We will learn about its history and geological uniqueness which dates all the way back to the Viking age. Thanks to a new access walkway and lighting system, this is a family friendly tour with an easy walk that all generations can enjoy!

Following the cave adventure, we relax at the geothermal pool at Húsafell and then we drive straight back to Reykjavík.

Experienced guides will follow you every step of the way.
