South Coast & Glacier Lagoon

This bus tour takes us along the beautiful South Shore of Iceland to the extraordinary glacial lagoon, Jökulsárlón. We drive through charming villages and visit Seljalandsfoss waterfall and Skógafoss waterfall on our way to the Skaftafell National Park and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. We'll cross black desert sands and pass Iceland's most famous volcanoes such as Eyjafjallajökull, Katla and Iceland’s largest volcano and highest peak Öræfajökull glacier.

After our arrival at the lagoon we'll enjoy a boat tour on the lagoon between the icebergs.*

Jökulsárlón started to form early in the 20th Century and is growing larger every year. You'll see amazing blocks of ice that constantly break off Europe’s biggest glacier, Vatnajökull, and sail slowly towards the ocean, which is only a kilometre away.

After a refreshing boat tour on the glacial lagoon, we head back to Reykjavík.

*Please note that the boat tours may not be available in March, April or October departures due to the amount of ice on the lagoon. The boats that carry us are no ordinary boats as they are capable of driving short distances on land as well as sailing on the water. The tour price for these departures is therefore lower.
